Hello Mighty Giants

On behalf of the Giants organization I would like to welcome all of the new and returning families to the Mighty Green Valley Ranch Giants Family. Our mission is to offer the children of Green Valley Ranch and its surrounding communities a safe, wholesome environment through participation in sports, which can provide an alternative to the many perils of the streets such as drug abuse, gang violence and crime. We mentor, tutor, and teach the children of our program life skills and develop them as student athletes with focus on preparation for college and adult life.
We believe in family first and so you as a parent, player, fan and coach have the responsibility to do the right thing even when no one is watching. Our core values dictate that we will not cheat, steal, or use drugs. We do promise to make your child better in the areas of leadership, life lessons, responsibility in the classroom, sportsmanship and learning the fundamentals of football/cheer.
Our registration fee details are on the website. We are careful stewards of our funds. If at any time you have questions or concerns about the use of fees please reach out to the president of the organization at 303-995-5836 or email us at gvrgiantsyouthleague@gmail.com
Please make sure that you register your child asap and all fees are due by July 31st. If you need to make payments, a link is available on the website under the registration tab however after July 31st you will be accessed a late fee and risk the possibility of not having a roster spot available.
We believe that this will be the biggest year in the organization history with rapid growing of all programs and the success we are having in the classroom, football, basketball, baseball and cheer. We need your help in the following areas: board members, coaches, camp volunteers, registration booths, chess masters and computer basic programmers to support our new non-sport programs. If you can help in any area please fill out the volunteer form on the website under registration.
It’s an honor to serve the community of Green Valley Ranch and the surrounding areas so let together make it the biggest year ever for our kids…
Thanks,
Mr. Howard R. Payne
President of GVRYL

Description

Community is our Legacy! Research shows that children who participate in sports and other extra-curricular activities have better grades, higher graduation rates, and are less susceptible to substance abuse, gang influence and crime. Youth participants are not the only benefactors of our program. Our entire community, which is one of the most culturally and economically diverse in the Denver-metro area, also reap the positive rewards of young people who are learning and demonstrating a sense of community pride, awareness and contribution to our neighborhood.

GRIEVANCE/COMPLAINT PROCEDURE:
Our goal is to provide a positive experience to all the players within our organization. We realize that occasionally an issue may arise that requires the attention of a sport director and/or the GVRYL Board of Directors. These issues might involve the rules, policies or procedures of the GVRYL/GVFF and/or the Denver PAL.

We have designed our Grievance Policy to provide a process whereby an individual can communicate an issue or concern for review and resolution. Please help us by adhering to the following guidelines.

Should you have an issue with a rule, policy or procedure:
1.   Please communicate it to your coach. Before a season begins, the directors of the various sports have a meeting with the coaches. Most of the rules, policies and procedures are communicated to your coach at that meeting. If not, please ask your coach to call or e-mail that specific sport director for an answer. One call from a coach is more efficient that 10 calls from parents and you will find you will get a quicker response for obvious reasons.

2.   Should your coach not provide a clear and timely response, please send an e-mail or letter to the specific sport coordinator and copy in the President. You can reach the sports director directly from the website.

Should you have an issue or concern with the treatment of your child (i.e. fair play issues) please use the same procedures as above.
All grievances that need GVRYL/GVFF Board attention should be in writing with the facts and names of people involved. The Board will only review grievances/complaints that are in writing. Any written correspondence directed to the President will be addressed at the next GVRYL/GVFF Board meeting.

Please remember that the GVRYL Board is made up of volunteers and that the GVRYL/GVFF are a Youth Sports Organization. Be mindful of the fact that our decisions involving grievances will be what we feel is in the best interest of the children in our program. All decisions of the GVRYL Board shall be final.

Should your grievance concern the physical or verbal treatment of any child, please send an e-mail to the GVRYL President immediately at gvrgiantsyouthleague@gmail.com.
